Sun, Aug. 20; 11 a.m. Mary Our Queen Church, 6260 The Corners Pkwy NW, Atlanta. Mary Our Queen will celebrate its parish feast day, the Coronation of the Virgin Mary, as part of a week-long homecoming event. At the 11 a.m. Mass, Bishop Joel M. Konzen, SM, will bless a new Icon of Mary and Christ, “Salus Populi Romani” (the original Regina Caeli icon of Rome). After Mass, the parish will have a pot-luck picnic with activities for the children. The homecoming week will start with a special Marian concert by Concordi Laetitia on Fri, Aug. 18, at 8 p.m. The Parish Ministry Fair on Sun, August 27, will close the week with a bake sale, complimentary coffee, and apple cider, kids’ stations with activities, kettle corn and a raffle.
