Notre Dame, Inc., Dec. 17 Ten alumni of the
University of Notre Dame are vying for five seats on the 13-member Alumni
Association Board of Directors in national ballot now going on among the
universitys 43,000 graduates.
The alumni over the nation are divided into 15 regions and each
year five regions nominate two men to run for a three-year term on the board.
The regions and the candidates are as follows:
Region 2 (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Nebraska,
Utah, Colorado, Kansas) Vincent J. Duncan (44), director of Walter
Duncan Oil Properties in Denver, Colo., and Robert A. Erkins (47), owner
of the Snake River Trout Co. near Buhl, Idaho.
Region 5 (Iowa, Missouri) John T. Massman (56), vice
president of Massman Construction Co., Kansas City, Mo., and Richard Delaney
(37), vice president of Midwest Biscuit Co. in Burlington, Iowa.
Region 11 (Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts,
Vermont, Connecticut) J. Richard Lamere (49), Duxbury, Mass.,
labor editor of the Boston Herald-Traveler, and Robert L. McGoldrick
(56), West Hartford, Conn., a senior account executive for General Life
Insurance Co.
Region 12 (East Pennsylvania, Maryland, District of Columbia, West
Virginia, Virginia, Delaware) Leonard H. Tose (37), Bridegport,
Pa., president of Tose, Inc., trucking firm and the KS Canning Company in
Paterson, N.J., and Water J. Short (39), Washington, D.C., senior vice
president for finance and administration of Allegheny Airlines, Inc.
Region 15 (N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Georgia, Florida)
Frank L. McGinn (52), owner of McGinn Bros. Realtors in Pompano Beach,
Fla., and Edward M. Abrams (50), vice president and director of A.R.
Abrams, Inc., in Atlanta, Ga., construction, property development and
manufacturing firm.
Voting will be completed in Jan. 1, 1969. |
