***UPDATE: Giving Glory To God Through Gardening

By Michael Alexander, Staff Photographer | Published July 24, 2013

Since my initial post of Giving Glory To God Through Gardening, I only received a few photos. Holy Spirit Church parishioner Brian Hoffman sent in a photo of his children standing by their Mary garden, and All Saints Church parishioner Sue Said sent me some photos taken by her friend and fellow Dunwoody Community gardener, Laura Freeman.

In some instances I took matters into my own hands. If I was out on assignment like I was last week in the Georgia cities of Crawfordville, Sharon and Elberton, I took some garden photos at the residence of Virginia Hinderlider and Christine D’Souza. Hinderlider is a parishioner at St. Joseph Church in Washington, and D’Souza is a parishioner at St. Mary Mission in Elberton.

I also took some photos from my own perennial garden.

I created a garden gallery of photos, which includes the aforementioned photos, plus some additional photos from the Nelson garden mentioned in Giving Glory To God Through Gardening post.

It’s not too late. We still welcome your garden photos. Send them to my email address (malexander@georgiabulletin.org). Provide me a brief description of what you’re sending and I’ll add it to the photo gallery.
